RECOVERY MANAGER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To set strategy for the bank’s efforts to Recovery all loans in the Portfolio at Risk; this may include Micro, SME, Agro, and staff loans.
  • To monitor the performance of the Recovery Unit (RU), through direct contact with the Zonal Senior Recovery Loan Officer and the banking software of the Bank and take appropriate immediate actions to improve the performance;
  • To initiate and manage relationship with the Bank’s auction companies; such as contract management, conflict resolution, claim follow up, handover of auctioned properties and tracking the efficiency of the auction companies
  • To set the monthly targets for Recovery Unit and ensure that the recovery staffs have all resources to achieve the set target; it is the responsibility of the Recovery Intern to ensure that the targets are regularly followed up with the branches. A regular review and suggestions on appropriate changes of the target and its components has to be completed by the Recovery Intern at least once per quarter in order to improve the recovery Unit results.
  • Tracking and controlling the entire performance of the Recovery Unit of the bank by ensuring that the regular review of the Recovery Unit performance is conducted and be responsible for development of an appropriate mechanism for regular performance control.
  • To handle customer enquiries and complaints that deemed impossible at branch level such as property buyer disputes, reassignment of the auction company, court cases disputes, etc.
  • Liaise with Legal Department for recovery and best recovery practices for all court cases and very problematic cases received from branches; Follow up with the teams in the branches on court cases and their handling by recovery loan officers.
  • To provide training for the entire recovery staff at least twice per year on technical, compliance and best recommended recovery practices. Develop and conduct a procedural test for compliance once per quarter;
  • Functionally, managing all Zonal Senior Recovery Loan Officers in close collaboration with Regional Manager and/or Branch Manager.

 

 

Profile:

  • Holds a university degree in Economics or any related field ;
  • Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments.
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges
  • Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
  • Perfect command of written and spoken English
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel for data analysis and presentation, PowerPoint, MS Visio)
  • Experience in team management, ability to motivate team members by adopting a positive and constructive attitude
