Sarah Zetterli, Chief Credit Officer and Deputy CEO
Sarah Zetterli has worked in the field of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) finance for 16 years. A graduate of Harvard University with a degree in anthropology and economics, she conducted her Bachelor’s degree research on the social and economic impact of microcredit in poor Southwest China. She later received a Master’s of Science in Financial Management from the University of London. She worked as Managing Director of Procredit Ghana. That institution was acquired by Fidelity Bank Ghana in 2014, and Ms. Zetterli served briefly as Director for Commercial and SME Banking there. Ms. Zetterli moved to Tanzania in 2015 and became Chief Credit Officer at AccessBank Tanzania in January 2017. She specializes in microfinance training, organizational development, and credit risk management.
Julius Ruwaichi, Chief Financial Officer
Julius joined AccessBank Tanzania in March 2016 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining AccessBank Tanzania Ltd, he worked for a similar role (CFO) at NIC Bank in Tanzania. For over eight years, he worked in different roles in finance department including Financial Controller roles for both Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania and NBC Bank. Julius worked as an auditor with PwC for 5 year before joining banking career. He is a qualified Accountant, member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), he holds MBA from the East & Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI), a B.Sc. in Applied Accounting (Oxford Brookes University tgt w/ ACCA) and a B.Sc. in Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam. Mr. Julius speaks English, Swahili and very basic French.
Andrea Ottina, Chief Business Development Officer
Mr. Andrea Ottina is currently the Chief Business Development Officer of AccessBank Tanzania and is responsible for the overall areas of innovation, business development, marketing and alternative channels. Mr Ottina has more than 8 years of experience across commercial banks, consulting companies and international organizations. He holds a Master of Arts by Research in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Sydney, Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy. Mr. Ottina speaks fluent English, Italian, Spanish and a bit of Swahili.
